If your company is currently pursuing export initiatives, the 2018 Ohio Export Internship Program (OEIP) is your opportunity to hire a college student who has received specialized coursework in exporting. Companies participating in the program are reimbursed for half of the full-time summer wages, up to $3,600, of the college student.

There is a great opportunity coming up in March that will introduce you to an Ohio-based program that helps get restored citizens and military veterans back into the workforce.

The Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) has opened the application process for the 2018 Ohio Incumbent Workforce Training Program. From their News Release: “Online applications will be accepted on a first-come, first- served basis and can be submitted on October 12, 2017 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.”. Katie Fazekas, a Fabrication Manager at Engineered Profiles LLC, told Plastics News that she was thankful for the second chance that the TAPP Program gave her. After an incarceration that lasted just shy of a year and a half, Katie was released from prison feeling as if she had hit rock bottom. But she wasn’t willing to settle for a permanent place there. The TAPP program, which places restored citizens and military veterans into viable manufacturing positions, offered Katie a second chance.

PolymerOhio has added three new informative presentations to its summer schedule. These presentations will give attending manufacturers a chance to learn from experts on topics that are important to their business operations. All presentations are free to attend; registration is required to reserve your spot.
