Spider Glue Study Leads to Discovery for Adhesives Development
A recent paper published by polymer scientist Saranshu Singla and his team at the University of Akron in Ohio described the findings of the team’s study of the glue manufacturing process of orb spiders. Determining how they are able to achieve adhesion despite humid conditions will help in the future development of water-resistant synthetic adhesives. Find out more about the study and what Singla and colleagues ultimately discovered in an article published on the Cosmos Magazine website.
