Researchers at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands found that the areas of medicine and robotics are finding more and more use for materials that are able to adapt their shapes. As a result, an Eindhoven graduate student began sample preparation and experimental testing on a new photoactive polymer film that propels itself forward when exposed to light.
